Get in the holiday spirit with the members of the Danish & Austrian Clubs!
Members & kids of the Danish and Austrian Clubs attend for free (registration required).
Non-members are welcome with a donation to the Calgary Seniors Resource Center at the door. See below for more information.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT
Everyone can register at Events and Ongoing Programs - Danish Canadian Club.
If you need assistance to register please contact either the Danish or Austrian club.
The event includes a performance by The Nordic Folk Dancers, and members of the German Male Choir of Calgary. Danish Christmas craft making with our Danish volunteers, kids craft area, face painting for the kids (3:30-5). Enjoy warm æbleskiver made by former DCC Chef Peter, roasted chestnuts. Adults can sample a Gluhwein (mulled wine) and kids enjoy a hot chocolate bar!

Calgary Seniors is dedicated to helping older adults live with dignity, independence, and a sense of belonging. Through compassionate programs, meaningful connections, and the generosity of our community, we ensure no older adult has to navigate life's challenges alone.
Calgary Seniors Resource Center is accepting:
Pet Care: Unopened dog and cat food; unopened cat litter; new dog and cat toys; new dog beds; bowls, leashes, collars and other new pet supplies.
Winter Senior Comfort: New space heaters, warm blankets, and hand warmers.
A warm blanket, pet supplies or a package of hand warmers can remind an older adult that their community cares.
Donation guidelines: All items must be new and unused. Food and litter must be sealed; food must be within its expiry date.
How charitable tax receipting works: Under Calgary Seniors’ internal policy, only new items accompanied by an itemized purchase receipt can be considered for an official charitable tax receipt. New, eligible items without purchase receipts may still be gratefully accepted, but no charitable tax receipt will be issued. Official charitable tax receipts, when applicable, are issued by Calgary Seniors’ Resource Society. To coordinate a donation or ask about receipting, please contact funding@calgaryseniors.org.
Danish Canadian Club Christmas Party

The Danish Canadian Club Christmas party will be a "hyggelig" event
in the Main Hall for the whole family!
The doors open at 4pm for you to mingle and visit with family and friends for a relaxing cocktail hour.
The Scandinavian Choir will be entertaining with a performance at 5pm to get us in the festive spirit. Everyone is welcome to join in the singing in true Danish style!
Traditional Danish & Canadian Christmas buffet starts at 5:30pm. Danish clear soup with meatballs and dumplings, carved pork roast with crackling, roast turkey, stuffing, red cabbage, roasted vegetables, salads, Danish sugared potatoes, mashed potatoes and dessert.
(vegetarian meal is available by pre-order before Dec. 8th only).
One of the desserts is rice pudding with cherry sauce. A Danish Christmas tradition where a lucky few will get a whole almond in their rice pudding. The person who has the whole almond wins a prize!
After dinner Santa Claus will be here with Mrs. Claus to hand out gifts for all the registered kids
aged 12 and under! There is also a kids area with crafts.

You can order, pick it up from the Danish Canadian Club to enjoy at home.
Orders that are placed by the last Wednesday of the month can be picked up the first Friday of the next month.
To order please email or call the DCC office.
Pay when you pick it up from any server in the restaurant.
